He began his career as a teacher at Marwar College in Rajasthan, teaching Accounting & Finance to college students for one year starting in 2000. Then, for two years from 2001 to 2002, he taught MBA graduates at Mody Institute of Management Studies in Lakshmangarh, Rajasthan. From June 2002 to November 2003, he worked as a Research Officer and Faculty at the National Institute of Bank Management in Pune. Later, he became a professor and head of the School of Finance at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in Delhi, which is part of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. In 2009, he served as a Senior Professor at Management Development Institute in Gurgaon. From November 2009 to December 2010, he worked as a Director at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in New Delhi. He has been teaching in the Finance department at XLRI-Xavier School of Management in Jamshedpur since 2003. He is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals in the United States and a life member of the Indian Accounting Association.
